I team up with Mike Evanko of Wooly Bugged to fish a small PA wild trout stream in Lycoming County. We had an excellent day catching lots of brown trout and native brook trout. The hot patterns were the micro squirmy worm, Dave Rothrock’s May fly nymph pattern and the corn cob caddis. The stream we fished can be a challenging stream if the conditions are wrong. Thankfully, the conditions were perfect after thunderstorms in the region had the flows just right and the water slightly off color. Mike started nymphing with an indicator then switched over to a dry fly. I fished with a Euro nymphing / tight line setup all day.
