Hi Koert, can you remind us what the Sustainability Lab is please?
Yes, absolutely Cathy. We have developed a Sustainability Impact Lab to help our customers understand how to get started on a sustainability journey. We use Design thinking techniques to identify areas of greatest opportunity and also the feasibility of the project. It’s a great opportunity for us to introduce our amazing sustainability story to our customers. And it will help to onboard a lot of net new names and hit our target of 180miln euro in cloud bookings.

Excellent Koert. Can you tell us How has it been going? What happened since we last spoke?
Since my last update we actually ran a Sustainability Impact Lab in with 5 leading Energy & Natural Resources companies. We brought together amongst others the Head Carbon management from BHPBilliton, the GM for sustainability at Citic Pacific Mining and the GM for Sustainability of Synergy. We had Paul Marriott in a pre-recorded video to welcome everybody and we invited SAP sustainability thought leaders to inspire the participants on how SAP can help them to progress their sustainability agenda. And we facilitated a series of exercises that helped our customers to understand the relevant building blocks that will be input for their sustainability roadmap.

Thank Koert. That sounds exciting. What do we do next? What does future bring?
Let me split that in short term and medium term. Short term, we are following up with the 5 companies that attended. We have gathered great detail insights into their specific sustainability challenges and needs and we are now in the process to build customized sustainability roadmaps with them. And like always, there are these unexpected outcomes. One participant in our Sustainability Impact Lab has a brother that is the CEO of a large family business in Australia in the Mining industry. They are on S4HANA Public cloud already and likes us to meet the CEO to explain how he can use SAP to track raw materials and kick-off an innovation/ early adopter program. In the medium term, we should be running many more Sustainability Impact Labs across the region. We are ready to support and multiply.
